Knowledgebase: Tour Financial Summary
Why do Tour Financial Summary (TFS) costs and sales not agree to my Profit & Loss for the same period?
Modified on 26 November 2012 03:21 PM

The discrepancy between the figures shown on the TFS for Sales and Actual Costs compared to those figures reported in the General Ledger will be caused mainly by timing issues.

Sales

TFS 'Sales' is the sum of ALL Debtors Invoices, less applied Credit notes. This figure may change depending on when the report is run, and also the criteria that are entered.

The General Ledger will report Sales based on the posting period which is assigned to the Debtor transactions.

Costs

TFS 'Actual Costs' is the sum of ALL Creditor Invoices, less applied Credit notes. This figure may change depending on when the report is run, and also the criteria that is entered.

The General Ledger will report Cost of Sales based on the posting period which is assigned to the Creditor transactions.
